Molding
Molding is a tool or mold to produce a product by injection or blowing.
Broadly speaking, the molding is divided into two parts:
- Core
That is the part where the product will be dropped from the molding. In this section attached to the product after the injection process. At the time of the open mold remains on the core product, after it had dropped to the ejector or stripper or wind. Fig cores seen in fig 3.2 left
- Cavity
That is the part where the first plastic material into the mold cavity and fill the cavity. In the cavity there is a sprue connected to the nozzle on the barrel during the injection process done.
Mechanism of product expenditure
To remove the product from the mold, the mold must be driven to open the form in which the movement is a return of the plate and other parts of the mold is carried by the backward motion of the moving plate.
Backward movement or open it should sync the same time or sequentially also with movements of the parts that other mold so that the product apart and fell out of the mold.
At the time of mold opening, then in terms of supporting the weight, the mold is divided into 2 parts that join the moving plate (cavity) and the fixed plate part (core).
